Do you accept insurance?
Yes, but I have my patients call their own insurance companies to verify their benefits. Please come to your appointment knowing if you have a
co-pay and how much it is. Simply call the number on your insurance card and ask if you have benefits for chiropractic and/or acupuncture. Then verify what your co-pay is and if you have a deductible. I will do the billing for you. Realize that not all services may be covered.
What services are provided at a typical visit?
If you are coming in for a chiropractic visit, I will likely do some combination of adjusting (diversified or activator) and a modality to address any underlying soft tissue pathology. I commonly use ultrasound, kinesiotape, guasha or cupping to address muscle pathology. I also incorporate craniosacral into treatments that I think would benefit
If you are coming in for acupuncture, I will asses your pulse and tongue at each visit, so that I can diagnose properly. Following pattern diagnosis, I will utilize traditional acupuncture needles to achieve results. I might address internal imbalances or more superficial muscular complaints depending on the needs of your body. Acupuncture is great for treating mind, body and spirit. I may incorporate electro-acupuncture, guasha, cupping, or moxa into your treatment as well. Herbal therapy can be a great adjunct to treatment and may speed healing times.
If you are coming in for a combination treatment of acupuncture and chiropractic, I will combine the above information into one treatment strategy.
Do you treat patients who have sustained injuries from motor vehicle accidents?
Absolutely. In Oregon, most drivers are covered for injuries sustained in motor vehicle accidents and can see the chiropractor or acupuncturist of their choice. Patients can find it time consuming going to two different practitioners for both modalities, but in my office, you can combine the treatments into one session. I will bill your motor vehicle claim in these instances. In some instances, I have also utilized yoga based rehab principles to speed the healing of patients injured in motor vehicle accidents.
